Round 16 - 26th August
Under 15 A: Hume United 1-1 Coburg United
Sleepless nights and adrenaline pumping anticipation resulted in a beautiful sunny day morning at the home ground of Hume United, Laura Douglas Reserve. Both teams greeted each other with excitement and hope as is only expected in a nail biting game which was very important for both sides.
Our Under 15 A group boys executed their coach’s directives with blood, sweat and tears which resulted in an equal score as the game ended 1-1.
Under 13 Super League: Altona City 0-4 Coburg United
We all got up in the morning thinking it was going to ran. As we drove to Altona the sun came out and we knew we were going to give Altona City a soccer lesson.
To our surprise Altona played well and scores at half time were 0 – 1, but in the second half our fitness level and skills took over and resulted in a 0-4 walkover. Credit to the players and coaching staff.
Under 15 Super League: Green Gully 0:2 Coburg United
With a great display of football throughout the season, our Under 15 super league team faced a difficult clash with Green Gully this round.
With a clear 0-2 win over Green Gully; our Under 15 Super League team has demonstrated that within 3 years time they will be capable of playing in the Senior Squad for Coburg United Football Club.
UNDER 11 ORANGE: Coburg United 0–1 Brunswick City
Coburg visited Brunswick City this week and played a good game which created plenty of chances and some great lead up play with Coburg having the majority of possession. Parents of both teams were enthralled by the high standard of game that the boys displayed.
